07 STANDARDS & COMPLIANCE
Designed around
the right standards.
Standards are selected according to the product, service, material, hazard classification, client specification and applicable Zambian requirements.
We do not present every standard as universally applicable. The project specification, approved engineering basis and statutory requirements determine the governing code for each job.
Welded Petroleum Tanks
Applicable to above-ground vertical cylindrical welded storage tanks for oil and petroleum applications where specified by the project.
Fire-Water Tanks
Relevant to tanks and accessory equipment supplying water for private fire protection systems.
Fire Protection Systems
Applicable project references for fire pumps, sprinkler systems, private fire-service mains and inspection/testing/maintenance of water-based systems.
Process Pipework
Applicable to process piping where the project basis calls for the code, including fabrication, erection, examination, inspection and testing.
Structural Welding
Applicable welding code for qualifying and inspecting welded structural steelwork where specified by the engineering and contract documents.
Hot-Dip Galvanizing
Applicable reference for hot-dip galvanized coatings on fabricated iron and steel articles, including coating properties and test methods.
Zambian Requirements
Applicable Zambian standards and conformity requirements are incorporated where relevant to the product, service and project.
Petroleum Regulatory Context
Petroleum projects are delivered with the applicable Zambian statutory and Energy Regulation Board requirements considered alongside the technical standards.
Inspection & QA/QC
Inspection, NDT, pressure testing, material documentation and close-out records are planned around the approved quality plan and governing specification.
Important: Standards are selected on a project-by-project basis. Final design, certification, testing and regulatory compliance remain subject to the approved engineering documents, contract requirements, competent inspection and applicable authorities.
